This rock crusher does a fine job. It will crush small 2 in. X 2in. rocks into dust in a matter of a minute. Jul 26, 2019 I am from Beaver Falls, PA and found a small crusher just like your but has a v belt drive pulley on it for the electric motor that powered it. Don't recall any patent dates on it. It was located at a lab of the refactory plant that I had worked at. It was used similar to the crushing of coal but to check the quality of the refactory material.

Dec 30, 2014 I use a good moly grease on mine. To be honest, I'd focus on just using the impact and drop the idea of using a jaw as a primary. Part of the way in which impact / hammer mill units work is the autogenous self breakage of the larger pieces against the smaller - if you have only small stuff, it can actually be a problem in the process - slowing the crushing down.

Marcy Double Roll Crushers are used in intermediate size reduction of medium hard to hard materials such as rock or ore, and can bridge the gap between laboratory and production outputs. Models with 3,000lb per hour (1,361kg) or 8,000lb per hour (3,629kg) capacity reduce most materials from 0.5in (13mm) feed size to minus No. 10 (2mm).
Crushers take larger rock and break them down to smaller rocks, and then they are processed through an impact mill to reduce the ores to a finer particle. If the ore needs to be smaller yet, it's placed in a ball mill to reduce the materials to a slurry that has the consistency of muddy water.

Nov 03, 2012 It would at least be a starting point for me. I would use the highest grade of shaft (CrMo4V) anyways, as 99% of the crushers use shafts of equivalent material. Another thing i'm running into is bearings: i want to avoid roller bearings due to price and complication of design: Its not a mining operation, it just has to run a few days in the year.

While cone crushers are usually supported at the base, gyratory crushers are suspended. Impact crushers, sometimes called “hammer crushers,” use mass and velocity to break up pieces with a blow bar or hammer that strikes a stationary plate. When the rock hits the plate or anvil, it breaks on natural stress lines to create a uniform product.
